The Rose Theatre Youth Camps

Since 2009 The Rose Theatre's fabulous summer camps have inspired campers from all over Texas and they come back year after year.

We focus on bringing out the best in every child through theatre arts. We play acting games, improv and character work, musical theatre, sketch comedy, audition skills and much more.

Each week we have a different camp that will focus on something new. If you enroll for multiple camps discounts are avaliable.

Every camp includes a ticket to a play during the week, a cast party, a talent show, and a showcase every Friday.

We focus on film & stage acting, improv and audition skills!

All classes are taught by owner JESSIE ROSE. We recognize each actor's talent and build confidence and leadership skills through acting exercises and performing on stage!

June 8-12th

For the love of Music

Ages7-14

Does your child sing constantly? Do they enjoy and sing along with the radio or their favorite movie? If you answer "yes” to this question then sign them up for Musical Theatre Camp where all we do is sing and dance!!! This is a great opportunity for those of you who just sing in the shower or great practice for those of you a little braver. And we will have a showcase on Friday .

June 22-26

Fairy Tale Theatre

1/2 day Camp $125.00 from 9-12pm

Ages 4-6

Let your little ones explore a different fairy tale everyday through story telling and their imaginations. We will have a craft and a snack for each day and on Friday we will act out our favorites on stage just for you.

June 29th-July 3rd

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!

Ages 7-12

All girl campers and All Girl teachers! This camp is exactly what it says, an all girl acting camp! Including make-up day, talent day, and tons of acting games, singing, dancing and a showcase on Friday! This is the place for any girl who loves to be the center of attention and who loves to dress up and most importantly ACT!

July 6th-10th

Yellow Brick Road Camp

Ages 7-14

15 camper limit!!

Join us in a Land some where over the Rainbow. All week we will rehearse the incredible children’s tale The Wizard of Oz. And our campers are the stars! Don’t miss out on this once in a like time chance to be a character of this classic tale. This camp is limited to only 10 actors and we will have a performance on Friday! July 13th-17th

Movie Magic

Ages 10-15

Lights, Camera, Action! During this campyour camper learns what it feels like to be on set in Hollywood. Work on a commerical, know what it takes to ace a film audition, work on a small scene and much more. This week will zoom by with everything we have planned. Why sit at home and let your kiddo watch TV all day when they can learn how to shoot and film a TV show themselves.

July 27-July 31st

Sketch Above the Rest

Ages 8-16

Do you have an 8-16 year old who thinks they are hilarious? Like a mini version of a SNL character? This is the place for them. We will be working on sketches and improv. We can bring out the funny in anyone! This camp is created by the students. We start by writing our own sketches and casting each scene and directing them. Giving each student a chance to act and direct. Then on Friday we perform for all to see the Brilliance which is

August 3rd-7th

One Act MaDnEsS

TEENS ONLY

Ages 12-16

Over the course of this week, we will work on 3 different One Act Plays. With only have 4 days to cast and rehearse before we perform them in front of a live audience on Friday for our showcase, we will have our work cut out for us. This camp is for teens passionate about acting and ready for hard work! This will be a first for The Rose and we are very excited!

August 10th-14th

Princess Camp

Ages 5-10

All Princess all week. We will sing the songs, play acting games, make treats and crafts based around the world of Princess. Your little princess can dress up and be a princess all week long. Each day we will work on musical numbers and shorts scenes to perform for our family on Friday! Don't miss this fun-filled camp!

Aug 17-21

Broadway Bound

Ages 10-14

Not only will we learn the basics of theatre, we will also sing and dance! It is important to be a triple threat so that is what we will focus on! Simple dance steps, singing and acting all in one. Together we will create a show that will always be remembered. The staff at The Rose will turn your child in to the next little star! We strive to instill self confidence and let each child have their chance to shine. Whether we are over coming nerves or want a bigger stage to perform on other than the one in your room .This camp is the place for you!!!!
